We've had a lovely stay. Lovely accommodation. We loved crabbing in Looe. Thank you very much!

By The Hughes Family

A truly relaxing and peaceful holiday location. We particularly enjoyed the heated swimming pool, the barbecue, the comfortable beds, the fluffy towels, the play area and surrounding space, the decked eating area and the free wifi. The welcome items of chilled wine, milk, biscuits and fresh flowers were a delightful addition. Thank you. Very well equipped and thought through holiday accomodation, a beautiful area of Cornwall. During our week long stay in Sam's Cabin we visited the Eden Project with a fifteen per cent discount voucher in the information pack. Polkerris beach, Looe. Polperro and Plymouth. Altogether a lovely time was enjoyed by all. Thank you very much.

By The Gerrards from Wirral

Sam's Cabin sits in an enchanting meadow with superb country views and boasts a wonderful setting for a romantic retreat for two or a family haven. Nestled in the hamlet of Trewidland in the grounds of the owner's country house, it is perfectly placed to explore the Cornish Riviera coast. This brand new Scandinavian style lodge offers fabulous comfort and style including a shared, heated swimming pool. (Cosy Nest, Daisy Lodge, Cider Cottage and Smugglers Cottage are available for bookings too!) Children will enjoy the playground facilities of swings, slide and playhouse with picnic tables for alfresco nibbles and barbecues. Off site, the coastal towns and village resorts of Looe, picturesque Polperro and scenic Fowey are highly recommended destinations. Ramblers can explore the coastal footpath or play a round at Looe Golf Club. Sam's Cabin is elegantly designed with a nautical decor of serene blues and soft greys with whitewashed shutters in the bedrooms and shower room. With accommodation all on one level, the open plan living room is airy yet cosy, comfortably furnished with a plump sofa and armchairs with a selection of bestsellers, DVD's and CD's close at hand. The kitchen is super glossy and well equipped and the dining table is perfect for lazy breakfasts. The bedrooms are sumptuous and chic, dressed with designer bed linens and a hairdryer is provided. Spend sunny days splashing in the pool and warm evenings on the sheltered verandah with table and chairs. Within easy driving distance of glorious Whitsand Bay, colourful Plymouth, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the National Trust owned Lanhydrock, Cotehele and Antony House, Sam's Cabin promises to be a memorable experience for all. There are three other properties within the same grounds that may be of interest: Daisy Lodge, Sleeps 4 , Smugglers Cabin, Sleeps 4 , Cider Cottage, Sleeps 4

We have had a truly fantastic holiday. The holiday cottage is lovely and our children have loved running around in the meadow and going to visit the sheep every day. Peter and Val have been fantastic hosts. We have had great fun playing in the pool and visiting the Lily pond. Many hours of fun at Polkerris beach and we loved the Cornish feel to Polperro historic harbour with a small beach and cove to explore. Will highly recommend to friends especially those with children. Thank you!

The Browns from Winchester

We have had a wonderful week. The weather has been lovely, Sam's Cabin is the perfect place to stay. The stylish decor, the fabulous views, the peace and quiet, all add up to a 5 Star stay. It's a refreshing change for property owners to make such an effort and give attention to detail. The thoughtful touches of fresh flowers and a nice bottle of wine made us feel so welcome. Sam's Cabin was a delight to come back to at the end of a busy day visiting the lovely places of Looe, Fowey, Polperro and Mevagissy. We hope to visit again.

Diane and Alan

We've all had a fabulous holiday here in Sam's cabin, our fourth visit! We have had lots of sunshine. We love the views, children love playing in the meadow and especially enjoy the heated swimming pool. Sam's cabin is modern, clean, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. We visited nearby beaches, gardens, including The Eden Project, had lovely times at Fowey and enjoyed delicious pizzas at Sam's On The Beach at Polkerris. We are coming back again before the summers over. Thank you Val and Pete once again for another wonderful holiday.

Rochford family of five

Sam's Cabin, what a beautiful place to stay. As a young family it's hard to find a place that'll work for small people but still maintain a luxurious feel for adults. Sam's Cabin manages that with no trouble, with its seaside interior, relaxing lounge, white blinds, fluffy towels and even child size hangers! We loved the heated pool and the open spaces for our Samuel to run around in, so safe with no traffic (apart from the sheep) and with wine in hand we could sit on the terrace and watch him wear himself out, perfect! Thank you Val and Peter for being perfect hosts, you even marked my birthday, nothing was too much trouble. We'd really love to come back soon.

Mike, Michelle and Samuel

Our second visit to Trehalvin, last year was so good we came again and this time stayed in Sam's Cabin. Such a lovely place and Peter and Val make it like a home from home with all the nice touches. We swam in the pool, went to Heligan gardens and Eden Project. Ate out at The Hayloft, and the delightful Cafe Fleur at the Goldengate Centre nearby. Fab fish and chips from Addinghams in Liskeard. Also visited Port Isaac which is beautiful. A great week, hope to be back.

Martin, Melanie and Owen

I can't really say anything better than "We'll be back". If you want a fantastic breakfast visit Daisy 's Cafe in Looe. Eden activities fantastic for kids. Lanhydrock was a great day out. Bike trails, adventure playground and house and gardens amazing. Camel trail Wadebridge to Padstow beautiful and if you can squeeze in a ferry ride over to Rock, it's worth it for beach and dune sliding! Could write more but I've run out of page.

Tracy, Paul, Seth and Noah

What an enchanting place, we've had a truly wonderful time staying at Sam's Cabin. Hope to bring my little kids back here soon, they loved it.....much greener than inner city London!

Melanie, Marco and Luca from London

We have had such a fabulous week! The Cabin is beautifully appointed and is perfect for our little family. The grounds are lovely and our daughter has had a wonderful time running about the meadow. Trehalvin is a fabulous base to explore the local areas, like the beaches at Looe, Seaton and Polkerris and The Eden Project, it is also a wonderfully relaxing place to chill out.

Sally, Rick and Tilly Tyson (aged two and a half years) from Liverpool

A lovely relaxing place to stay! Our son loved running around the meadow, splashing in the pool and "Baaaaing" at the sheep. Magical - Thankyou.

Martin, Rebecca and James(2yrs) from Oxford

Wow! What an amazing place!
We have all had a fabulous time here, especially the children, who have enjoyed the pool and the wildlife. We will definately be coming back. Sam's Cabin is beautiful.Thank you x

Sam's Cabin is the perfect hideaway! Upon arrival we were immediately transported to the most magical place. Waking up to the beautiful view of the meadow is breathtaking. The accommodation 'top notch", chic and modern. The pool was the luxury that topped our week especially for my little daughter. We enjoyed fun days out to Whitsand Bay, Looe beach and park, Polkerris, Fowey, but found it hard to pull ourselves away from the Cabin. Thank you for being such warm, friendly hosts and for a wonderful week. We shall Definately be back.

Sally and Ava from Clevedon, Bristol

We've had a lovely two weeks finding lots to do even on days when the weather wasn't so kind. The children have loved the pool and sitting outside the cabin eating breakfast with that amazing view is so relaxing. Try the Cornish Orchards blush cider - gorgeous. We found the location a great base for getting out and about and have visited many different towns, villages and beaches. If you want a little bit of paradise visit Porthcurno beach - well worth the drive. The Lodge is very well equipped, beautifully decorated and very clean. We will recommend it to everyone and hope to come back in the future.

Claire, Ian, Joe and Ella Weir. From Kidderminster Worcs

A very pleasant and relaxing stay. The Cabin provided everything we needed and an excellent location to explore a beautiful part of the world. Peter and Valerie are excellent hosts and offered brilliant recommendations of watering holes, eating establishments and places of interest to visit. Polkerris beach, Fowey, Tregantle beach at Whitsand Bay to name but a few.

Gary, Emma and Harriet aged 4 yrs

What a wonderful week in such a nice place! The boys loved exploring the beaches and towns nearby and had great fun in and around the swimming pool. We all enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet around the Cabin and the country walks looking for and eating blackberries

Timon, Clemens Jorn and Sarah Lehe. From The Hague, The Netherlands

We have had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday staying in this lovely place with such fantastic views. So many beautiful places to see but noteably Fowey, Polperro, the Eden Project and the very stunning grounds of Lanhydrock. The weather has been great and allowed my very active son to take full advantage of the swimming pool and play area. Overall lovely accommodation in a wonderful setting.

Cristina, Dillan and Michael. From Enfield, Middlesex

This is my third visit to Trehalvin and, as always, it has been a very relaxing week with lots of sunshine! I feel that the surrounding area combined with the exciting and diverse sights of this region have recharged my batteries. Sam's cosy cabin with its tasteful furnishings and elegant simplicity have also contributed to the atmosphere of peace which I have greatly enjoyed with my husband John. Thank you Val and Pete for making us feel so welcome. Arrivederci!!

John and Silvana. From London

Isn't it wonderful when you can say that you have had a truly fantastic holiday?! Cornwall and our week here has certainly been exactly that. Using Sam's Cabin as a perfectly appointed base, (beautiful setting, peaceful and calming views, the quiet, the lovely country interior, with dreamy bed linen and towels). We have ventured both locally and further afield. Heading locally to Looe and Polperro provided lovely little fishing towns with very reasonable local shops. The Blue Peter Pub in Polperro was great with all its history and The Lifebuoy Cafe at Fowey kept the kids entertained! Cycling from Wadebridge to Rick Stein's Fish and Chips at Padstow was wonderful. St. Ives with Barbara Hepworth and The Tate and the stunning Lanhydrock House and gardens were particular highlights. For next time we come, The Eden Project, The Minack Theatre, Land's End, Newquay, Port Isaac and Bodmin Moor. P.S. Do go to The Lost Gardens of Heligan - a mysterious and eclectic mix of jungle meets formal garden. Truly amazing.

Rich and Ben from Oxford
