Porthcurno beach is situated a few hundred yards south of Porthcurno village. It is enclosed by the Logan Rock headland and is listed among the ten most beautiful bays in the world. The beach is noted for its privacy, isolation, translucent water and sand made up from crushed, white, sea shells. It has a seasonal dog ban during the peak season, and there are two car parks; one by the beach with toilets, and one at the Minack Theatre. Lifeguards are on duty at the beach during the peak season.
