Electricity, gas & oil

The days of holiday cottages with coin-operated meters are long gone - at least with us. We want your stay with us to be comfortable, relaxing and convenient, so electricity used during your holiday is included in the cost.

Fuel for appliances is of course included in the cost of your holiday rental - after each visit by the housekeeper, we monitor fuel levels to ensure there is enough available for your stay.

Provisions are made for properties to be heated adequately throughout the year either with central heating, wood burners, fires or other radiators. Fuel for wood-burners, fires or stoves may be payable locally, but normally the housekeeper will leave you enough wood or coal for your first fire.

We do obviously ask that you don't abuse either of these provisions during your stay. If a property owner were to receive an unreasonably high energy bill, it may result in them looking to reclaim these costs and you would be liable.
