Christmas Light Displays

Switch-on: 17th December at 7pm

Arguably the most famous of all Cornish Christmas light displays, the grand switch-on of the beautiful Mousehole lights includes an open-air Carolaire service with music from Pendeen Silver Band. The lights remain lit each evening until the 7th January, between 5pm and 11pm – with the exception of the 19th December, when the lights are dimmed between 8pm and 9pm in memory of the village’s fishermen and lifeboat-men who lost their lives in a terrible storm just before Christmas in 1981.

Switch-on: 1st December from 6pm

Known for always putting on a good show, the town of Falmouth will be switching its Christmas lights on on 1st December this year. With a lantern parade through the town, carol singing on the Moor, late night shopping and festive stalls, this is a lovely event for everyone to enjoy.

Switch-on: 2nd December from 6.30pm

A welcoming, traditional festive evening, Looe's Christmas lights switch-on starts with a traditional lantern parade through the streets of the town. At the end of the parade, everyone congregates on the quayside for a rousing carol service, and the lights are switched on at 7pm.
