Ramble the coastal footpath; the walk from the harbour to Tintagel Castle is 5.5 miles, promising secluded sandy coves below and panoramic seascapes (look out for the grey seals) spanning to both headlands. Reward yourself with a cream tea by King Arthur's famous fort before discovering the cove at Tintagel Haven and legendary Merlin's Cave. Surf at Trebarwith Strand or visit Crackington Haven, a cove of rock pools and pebbles perfect for riding the waves, paddling and beachside picnics.
