Cargreen is a quaint village perched on the western bank of the Tamar River within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is home to a yacht club and in the summer months the wide expanse of water comes to life with sailing boats, motocraft and dinghies. The village has a good slipway so bring a kayak or dinghy and explore the waters up river to Calstock or down towards Plymouth Sound. If you prefer to stay on dry land you can also fish off the quay.
The Landulph Peninsula forms part of a World Heritage Site dotted with pretty villages plus fabulous walking and stunning riverside scenery. The south coast beaches are within easy driving distance - head to Whitsand Bay for three miles of sand, sea and surf. Dartmoor National Park is also on the doorstep for wonderful walks with or without four legged friends.

About the location
Saltash 4 miles.
The village of Cargreen occupies a very pretty waterside location on the banks of the River Tamar, four miles north of Saltash, in south east Cornwall. Cargreen has a waterside pub, friendly sailing club and a community book exchange in a disused telephone box, and there is a lovely friendly country pub, one mile away in the village of Botus Fleming. Cargreen is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can take fabulous walks along some of the most unspoilt riverside scenery. The popular National Trust properties of Cotehele and Antony are both a short drive away, plus the nearby village of St Mellion includes the International Golf Resort. Downstream from Cargreen is China Fleet Country Club, with fabulous river views, offering a range of sporting and leisure activities and further afield are sandy beaches, harbourside villages and the historic city of Plymouth. All this and more are within easy reach of this idyllic haven.
