Walk to Padstow from the front door with dog in tow, surf at Watergate Bay, savour a wine tasting experience at Camel Valley Vineyard, swing a club at Trevose or St Enodoc coastal links golf courses or simply unwind and recharge your batteries at this sparkling gem of a cottage.

Rock Cottage has been refurbished to a high standard from top to toe without compromising on character or charm. This pretty terraced stone cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Little Petherick, a ten minute drive from the north Cornish coastline and beaches. It sits in an elevated position beside a main road leading to fantastic Padstow, with a lawn garden at the front which is securely enclosed with a gate and timber fencing. Step through a stable door into a sun room with rattan seating to admire panoramic rooftop and rural views. Continue to the spacious sitting room and first impressions are coastal chic. The combination of cool white walls, rug topped wooden flooring, original flagstones, a cloam oven, sash windows, an ornate open fireplace with slate hearth, panelled window seats and fascinating nautical artefacts and textiles is simple and elegant. At the rear is a small and modern kitchen dining room, well stocked for fastidious chefs with the essential coffee maker and slow cooker, and a door to an enclosed and private courtyard which is sheltered and provides a fire-pit, barbecue and bistro table. Head upstairs and discover three gorgeous bedrooms offering flexible accommodation for families with a double, twin and bunk bedroom. Each bedroom has a real seaside vibe with red and blue nautical stripes to set the holiday mood and both the double and twin are equipped with TV/DVD's. A sleek white bathroom, accessed via the bunk bedroom, completes the first floor accommodation.

This part of Cornwall is among the most desirable and sought after in the county. Harlyn, Trevone Constantine, Boobys, Treyarnon and Porthcothan Bays offer plentiful opportunities for swimming, surfing, sailing, sun-bathing and rock pooling whilst Padstow, with its reputation for celebrity gastronomy, is two miles away (or 30 minutes on foot) and Newquay, king of the UK surf scene is 7 miles away.
