A short drive will take you to Mylor Harbour, known as one of the finest in the South West, where you can hire a boat, kayak or windsurfer and make adventures discovering the hidden creeks and inlets of the River Fal. Nearby at Devoran, you can hire a bike and join the 11
mile Mineral Tramways Trail forming part of a popular coast-to-coast cycle route from east to west Cornwall. Falmouth is a vivacious mix of superb sandy beaches, scenic harbour and historic culture, with the maritime Museum and Henry VIII's Pendennis Castle. Browse the quaint streets peppered with galleries, gift shops, fine restaurants and traditional inns. Hop aboard the King Harry Ferry at Feock and cross the waters to the breathtaking landscape of The Roseland Peninsula. The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within 40 minutes drive and the stunning beaches of north Cornwall are easily reached by car in less than 30 minutes. There are attractive waterside footpaths to the nearby 13th Century Pandora Inn in Restronguet and to Flushing beach, with its fine sand and scenic vista across the water to Falmouth.
