Nestling on the slopes of the beautiful Kenwyn Valley, with Truro city close by, this superb barn conversion boasts a serene haven, centrally placed to explore Cornwall's finest beaches and hotspot destinations. A popular setting for filming and has been used for the Wycliffe series and more recently by a German company filming an episode of a popular TV series featuring Rosamunde Pilcher stories.
Much character and appeal is created by the use of flagstones and natural reclaimed timbers in the doors, beams and trusses. The open-plan living room has a country ambiance and simple elegance, with a wood burner for all season comfort. From here one step down leads to the Shaker-style kitchen with a generous dining table, ideal for social gatherings over lazy breakfasts and afternoon cream teas. From here the double bedroom offers a place for relaxation and six small steps lead up to the twin bedrooms. A stable door at the rear of the property opens out to a patio sheltered by a grassy bank accessed by a short flight of steps. Above the patio is a large enclosed lawn with superb views over the tree-lined valley beyond. Within the owners' grounds, springs flow into ponds and it is requested that young children are supervised within the central courtyard and parking area. Dogs can also be exercised in the owners' fields.
The city of Truro is a short drive away with cobbled streets of bijou shops, galleries, coffee houses, museums, excellent restaurants and traditional inns, all towered by the stunning presence of the three-spired neo-gothic cathedral. The colourful harbourside town of Falmouth is within a half hours drive away, and vibrant Newquay is equal in distance on the north coast, with beaches to suit all tastes; secluded and tranquil, super surf or family friendly and sheltered with rock-pools for exploration.
