The property

Tucked away in a delightful country lane, near the village of St Kew and nestled deep in Cornish countryside close to the shores of Port Isaac, Polzeath, Rock and Padstow, is Treharrock Lodge. If you are looking for a peaceful bolthole to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this charming cottage is just for you. Drive to Port Isaac, otherwise known to ITV 'Doc Martin' series fans as 'Portwenn' in around 5 minutes. Due to its sheltered nature this narrow cove is very safe for children offering a small sandy beach with rock pools to explore at low tide. For a great meal of fresh fish landed at Port Isaac's harbour, Nathan Outlaws 2-Michelin Starred flagship 'Restaurant Nathan Outlaw' is a brilliant choice which focuses on the simple delights of British seafood cookery and somehow those panoramic views out to sea from the tables add to the flavour.

Nearby Rock is the choice for water sports enthusiasts, attracting yachtsmen, water skiers and anglers to its safe tidal lagoon. The beautiful beach here stretches along the River Camel around to Daymer Bay (great for dog walkers) and has a long fine sandy beach, fringed with dunes on which to picnic, play or rest. St Kew is a quaint and unspoilt village, where peace and quiet are assured. The popular traditional village pub, the St Kew Inn serves great food and has a glorious open fireplace where the logs crackle during cold wintry days. This is a highly desirable destination for couples and families seeking a timeless and restful base that is convenient for exploring the picturesque fishing villages, hidden coves, tall cliffs and expansive golden beaches of the North Cornish coastline. Polzeath, just 6 miles away, is favoured among families drawn to rolling surf, long tracts of sandy beach and fascinating rock pools. There are many opportunities for outdoor pursuits with the first-class 18 hole links golf course at St Enodoc, cycle hire at The Camel Trail and superb walks along coastal and inland footpaths.

Inside you will find accommodation on one level with a spacious sitting room with big south facing, triple aspect windows to take in views over the large gardens. There is a well equipped kitchen/dining room to socialise and entertain. Relaxing slumber is guaranteed in the master bedroom and there are two further twin bedrooms offering sleeping flexibility. The main bathroom is modern and there is a separate toilet and utility room that leads onto the rear patio. With sweeping gardens bounded on two sides by a little stream and easy parking this really does make Treharrock Lodge a great holiday retreat.
