    We absolutely love this property and it’s location. The house has everything you could possibly want and the beds are super comfortable. Beautiful decoration and a high level of cleanliness add to the overall fabulous experience. Set at the top of the valley it is a short walk to the beach but gives you peace and quiet. Tintagel is just a short car drive or you can walk through the beautiful greenery or across the cliffs. Also Miranda and Ben who own the property are lovely people and are ...

Tintagel is just a short car drive or you can walk through the beautiful greenery or across the cliffs. Also Miranda and Ben who own the property are lovely people and are swift to sort out any minor problems you may have. We shall be returning as it has become a haven of calm for us over the years and we cannot recommend it highly enough.

This lovely property sits imposingly at the head of the valley leading down to the beautiful cove at Trebarwith Strand, where at low tides there is a large stretch of sand and exciting rock pools.

Ideally placed for exploring the dramatic coastline along the coast path and renovated to a superb standard, the property boasts a light and airy interior with plenty of traditional features such as big picture windows to enjoy the sea views, and feature fireplaces.

Unwind in the refreshing sitting room where you can sink into the large sofa with the woodburning stove roaring, or use this as a space to plan for the day’s activities.

Delight in the front garden and appreciate the stunning views, perhaps best enjoyed over an alfresco meal with a glass of wine.

Just a short walk will take you to the ever popular Trebarwith beach, which at low tides is a long stretch of golden sand backed by flat rocks and steep cliffs.

It is a great spot for rockpooling, bodyboarding and surfing.

Alternatively, join the South West Coast Path and explore further along this stunning coastline, stopping off in the village of Tintagel to refuel with some tasty treats at one of the traditional inns.

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and within a short distance is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a short but scenic drive.
