Enjoy the beautiful protected National Trust cliffs along to towards Kelsey Head and Porth Joke cove. Guests will love to explore the coast in both directions including Perran Sands to the west as well as discovering the mining history and wildlife of this sometimes overlooked gem on the North Coast. Surfing, even for amateurs, can't be avoided, especially in the summer when the beach is patrolled by its own team of Lifeguards, and where visitors are inspired by youngsters of all ages training at the local Surf Life Saving Club.
Only minutes by car from Crantock and West Pentire there are some of the most beautiful sites to see and some lovely pubs to enjoy with spectacular views. Awaiting exploration is the many entertainment facets of Newquay which also has a Zoo and loads of outdoor sports to try as well as covered activities for all the family. Holywell Bay Golf Club or Perranporth Golf Club are both very near, and a visit to Perranporth town is a must In any season. There is ample parking for two cars. For avid walkers, the South West Coast Path passes in both directions along a stunning coastline of high cliffs, hidden coves and yet more beaches. The quaint harbour and fishing village of Padstow is just 14 miles away, while Truro, with its museums, cathedral, restaurants and cobbled streets, as well as the Eden Project, can be reached within 45 minutes. Picturesque St Ives and the Tate St Ives gallery is around an hour's drive or a train ride away. In fact, because nothing in Cornwall is far from Newquay, it’s the perfect touring base.
