conversion, near the quaint harbourside village of Porthleven and within a short
drive of the The Lizard Peninsula with its beautiful coves and harbours. This single storey cottage makes an ideal retreat for families, with an acre of parkland garden which is shared with the two neighbouring barns offering space for children to fly kites, play football and have the use of indoor table tennis. Old beams add character to an open-plan living room and dining area incorporating a cream kitchen at one end. Doors from the living room open onto a sheltered patio excellent for alfresco dining, beside a small walled terraced garden which leads up to the field beyond. Helston is just over 2 miles miles away and has much to offer for all ages, with a short-hole golf course, a swimming pool and sports centre, a boating lake, tennis courts and Flambards theme park. Discover the sublime beaches and hidden coves and caves for exploration at low tide - Praa Sands and Church Cove have a Mediteranean ambiance with turquoise waters and golden beaches. Enjoy the inland and coastal footpaths and experience the breathtaking sea views from the granite cliff tops. Penzance is bustling and lively with something for everyone and Marazion, with its long stretch of sandy beach overlooking the magical St Michael's Mount, is a great spot to have refreshment. The ever-changing seascape of waterborne activity will entertain you whilst you relax or explore the rock-pools. Venture across, by ferry or by foot over the cobbled causeway at low tide, and amble round the pretty harbour with cottages, restaurant, cafe and shop. Falmouth, famous for its sea-faring heritage, harbour, Henry VIII's Pendennis Castle and National Maritime Museum is peppered with galleries and gift shops, traditional inns and eateries set along

Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, a large area of downland fringed by a beautiful and spectacular coastline. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Nestled in a tranquil setting is the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford River, where there is plenty of entertainment watching seals play and feed. If it is thrill rides that excites you, then Flambards theme park will keep you amused all day and also has excellent living history experiences. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Helston is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.
