What our property appraiser Jilly thinks
Harbour Lights is a wonderful holiday home with magnificent sea views over Mount's Bay. The reverse style property has a spacious open plan, high vaulted living room on the top floor taking advantage of these views with wide opening patio doors and picture windows leading out onto the balcony. There are wooden floors throughout the property which have been lightly limed to complement the seaside New England theme throughout the property. There are three bedrooms, a 5' double and a twin on the lower ground floor, that both have the luxury of patio doors leading out onto the terraced garden and sea views. There is a further twin on the ground floor. The family bathroom with WC, and shower room with basin only, are on the lower ground floor enabling easy access for the two bedrooms and there is a further cloakroom with WC and basin on the same floor as the twin. There is plenty of parking, and this alone is a real benefit in Mousehole, as well as easy walking access to the harbour, beach and village amenities.

A beautiful and interesting house designed as a holiday home, light, airy, spacious and comfortable and only a few yards away from the sea with uninterrupted views of Mounts Bay and Mousehole Island. Bring your binoculars and watch the constant procession of fishing boats and yachts passing by yards from your front window. The house is situated on the edge of this charming south facing village, but within 150 yards of its picturesque harbour, with shops, good restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. It is built into the side of a hill and is on three levels with a pretty rockery garden sloping up to the entrance. The top floor of this detached house has a high open beamed ceiling and is completely open plan, incorporating a well equipped kitchen with plenty of tiled worktops dividing it from the spacious lounge and dining area. Straight up through the centre is the unusual feature of a square granite fireplace and chimney. Two sets of double sliding doors open onto the wooden balcony, all of which face directly out to sea. Throughout this delightful house there is plenty of wood in evidence, including all floors, which are broken up here and there by pretty scatter rugs. It is therefore requested strongly that NO high heeled shoes be worn in the house. Only 50 yards away there are steps down to the sea and rocks where there is bathing and a built in 'natural' pool for children's use at low tide. For extended families who wish to stay close by there is the charming converted Net Loft which nestles in the centre of Mousehole and sleeps up to four guests The Net Loft, Mousehole,

Other Amenities: FREE Wi-Fi. Dishwasher, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer. Bed linen, towels. Central heating included. The property offers accommodation over three floors and has wooden floors and rugs throughout. External and internal doors are of a standard width and height. Kitchen worktops are of a standard height. The garden has a mixture of lawn, stone steps, decking and paved surfaces. There is off-road parking for up to three cars on a paved surface approx 15 metres from the entrance. Having been in 2015 with sister in law from USA it was an easy choice to make to return this year. We love the position of Harbour Lights which in our view is one of the best in Cornwall also the layout of the property. Nothing better than relaxing on balcony with a glass of wine after a day out admiring the views.

Excellent position with fantastic views over the sea. The garden was a treat with exotic plants. It is not often that you get a panoramic sea view from the bedroom as well. Definitely book this property again
