A quirky but fab cottage that was an excellent base for exploring Cornwall, many thanks for the extras and treats on arrival - much appreciated after a long journey. The week has flown by surfing at Sennen, watching fireworks at Lands End, eaten in the harbour at St Ives, climbed St Michael's Mount and visited the Seal Sanctuary. Hope to visit again…..

• Walking distance to the beach at Sennen Cove • A gorgeous barn conversion with cosy wood burner • Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty • Perfect for ramblers, romantics & beach lovers • Modern home interior with authentic character and charm • Garden with barbecue • Short breaks available • Pub/Restaurant within a 5 minute walk • Secure storage for surf boards and bikes
Amble back from the surfy beach at Sennen Cove to this wildly romantic coastal bolthole. Fishing Buoy is peacefully tucked away, amid a cluster of granite barn conversions bounded to one side by unspoilt farmland yet only a ten minute walk down a steep footpath to the seashore. This once humble farm building has been imaginatively transformed with plenty of individuality, authentic character and a cosy wood burner to charm you. With its huge expanse of white sand and azure sea, Sennen Cove is a singularly special place and the perfect destination for a beach holiday. The rolling Atlantic surf provides some of the best surfing conditions in the UK and there is a lifeguard service operating during the summer and a recognised surf school offering tuition and equipment hire. Explore the charming harbour with its colour fishing fleet and the art galleries selling work by local artists. Indulge at the beachside restaurant, fish and chip shop or ice cream parlour depending on what strikes your fancy. Walkers will love the exhilarating journey along the coast path on soaring cliffs to iconic Land's End. Continue a little farther to discover Porthcurno and The Minack Theatre, Cornwall's famous open-air cliff-top theatre showing performances for all ages. Penzance, Mousehole and Marazion are less than a 20 minute drive as too is St Ives which is best discovered via the coast road, through rugged moorland dotted with old mining ruins. Fishing Buoy is a wonderful getaway for couples and families with a coastal inspired interior and a sheltered garden for barbecues and idle time (plus secure storage for surfboards and bikes). You enter via external steps to the first floor and into a comfortable sitting dining room with tall beamed ceilings and exposed granite walls. An open ladder staircase leads from the sitting dining room to the double bedroom on a mezzanine floor set into the eaves (mind your head on the low ceiling). Leading from the sitting dining room is an attractive twin bedroom suited to both adults and children and a modern kitchen and shower room. If you do not fancy cooking, there is an excellent foodie pub within a 5 minute walk.
2 Bedrooms - Sleeping up to 4 Adults 18 Steps to Entrance. Sitting Dining Room with Wood Burner and 27" TV. Bedroom 1 Twin. Kitchen. Shower Room with walk-in shower and WC.
