What our property appraiser Jilly thinks
Kevrin Cottage is stylishly renovated granite cottage in the centre of St Just. A little secret gem, the owners have created a really bright and contemporary holiday home behind the terraced exterior. There is a spacious white wooden hand crafted kitchen with a family dining table and chairs. Next door there is a sitting room with the cosiness of a wood burner and comfortable seating. Slate floors make it ideal for guests who have brought their dogs along to enjoy the fabulous coastal walks. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, and a snug/games room. There is a family bathroom on the first floor and a further wet room on the ground floor. To the rear of the property is a small but fully enclosed courtyard for alfresco dining or drying wetsuits and dogs. Being able to walk to the cafes, galleries and food shops as well as to the coastal footpaths make this an ideal retreat for guests wishing to avoid driving every day.
All our properties are personally appraised by our team, who work in association with Visit England to ensure quality standards are upheld.

Latest Reviews

We had a fabulous winter break here at Kevrin Cottage, this was our first stay in St Just and we will certainly be back. We have stayed in many cottages in Cornwall but this one ticks all our boxes

By The Derby family

What an amazing place, so beautifully kitted out and so many thoughtful touches. We have loved the cottage and had great fun just walking out the front door. The walk along the coastal path was brilliant to Sennen. Welford (dog) has been welcome everywhere and we've never been to such a friendly welcoming place. We'll be back and thank you.

By Castle Donington Guests

• Romantic character cottage • Coastline and beaches within a short drive • Cosy wood burner • Great walking on your doorstep • Enclosed sun-trap garden with barbecue • Pets welcome • Pubs and restaurant nearby • FREE Wifi

Found in the spectacular far west of Cornwall in the popular town of St Just, Kevrin Cottage is a delightful and beautifully styled retreat. This charming end of terrace granite cottage has been given a stylish new interior which provides a relaxing and welcoming ambience - especially with the wood burner alight! Kevrin, meaning secret or mystery in Cornish, will exceed all expectations of those who wish to be within walking distance of pubs, shops and cafes and have fabulous coastal walks on the doorstep. Here you can forget the car as well as the stresses of everyday life so bring your walking boots or simply relax with a good book. The nearest small beach at Cot Valley is a hidden and little known gem at the bottom of a beautiful lush valley making it the perfect picnic spot. For those who prefer a wide stretch of sand Sennen Cove and Porthcurno are also within easy driving distance. There are incredible walks on the doorstep to Cape Cornwall or along the rugged south west coast path towards Lands End in the west and Pendeen lighthouse in the east. We recommend the drive east along the coastal road to St Ives for a day of browsing boutique shops and galleries or sampling fine seafood in one of the many restaurants which line the harbour. Penzance is just 10 minutes drive with its' Jubilee Pool, Cornwall's much loved art deco lido, and its' reputation as the new food capital of Cornwall. Immaculately presented and carefully planned the super kitchen/dining room forms the hub of Kevrin Cottage - perfect for friends and family to gather. The cosy sitting room, with lovely wood burning stove, has plenty of room for everyone to sit comfortably. Upstairs is a master double bedroom and a twin which share the shower room. Relax in the peaceful snug, with distant sea views, or play on the XBox. Downstairs is a really useful shower and utility area and outside is a sun-trap enclosed courtyard to the rear of the cottage; perfect for evening drinks and sunny breakfasts. There is space to hang wetsuits and store surfboards in the courtyard.

Guest Reviews

We had a fabulous winter break here at Kevrin Cottage, this was our first stay in St Just and we will certainly be back. We have stayed in many cottages in Cornwall but this one ticks all our boxes

The Derby family

What an amazing place, so beautifully kitted out and so many thoughtful touches. We have loved the cottage and had great fun just walking out the front door. The walk along the coastal path was brilliant to Sennen. Welford (dog) has been welcome everywhere and we've never been to such a friendly welcoming place. We'll be back and thank you.

Castle Donington Guests

The location is great. We had 3 full days of fabulous walks from the door and used the bus to Penzance for another day without the car. A real treat. The cottage is quiet, comfy and lots of room and everything you could ask for. The fire absolutely belts out heat which was nice and good on one cooler night. The beds are comfy and the showers lovely. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back. St Just is a really friendly village and were ever we went we felt welcome and our dog was really relaxed. It was just great.

Julia

Lovely week in this small and wonderfully situated cottage. Showers are great and beds are comfy. Thanks for the cream tea on arrival. What road noise?!! Loved listening to the starlings gossip.

Everything works! The showers are brilliant, especially the downstairs one and thanks for the coffee machine. The local information is useful as it is not in the guidebooks, Thank you.

Deborah

We've had an amazing week here and have thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and the surrounding area. The cottage is like a home from home and the log burner was a lovely bonus. The cottage is really modern and the artworks give it a really homely feel. Loved the downstairs shower and would definitely return. Tahnks for all the thought and effort that has gone into here.

Liz, Leon and Arthur the Beagle

The cottage was great. It seemed really clean, bright and contemporary. Decorated with real thought. The downstairs shower and loo were a really great addition and everything in the cottage worked. Wifi was really handy as phone signals come and go. We used the woodburning stove which really helped to fend off that dampness which you get in Cornwall. St Just is far enough away from St Ives that you can escape the mass of tourists but are still near enough to surfing beaches and beautiful walks to feel the magic of the place. We had no neighbour noise and the traffic in the morning was pretty minimal.

Deborah

Gorgeous cottage. Beautifully decorated. We had a wonderful time, thank you for all the things you supplied to make our time here easier and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

The Stevens - September 2016

Fabulous cottage in a great location, just perfect for a family holiday! The Kings Arms was great for food as was The Commercial. We did some fantastic walks from the cottage, heading out towards Cape Cornwall all the way to Geevor Tin Mine. We will be coming back here!

Moss family – July 2016

It was nice to be the first people to make use of Kevrin Cottage and we were really pleased with how it had been refurbished and equipped. Everything we need was to hand and the place was tastefully decorated and the art work added a nice touch. The weather was fabulous and we managed to get to the beach every day.

Fairholme Family

Lovely, well equipped, comfortable cottage. Lovely area with good dog walks form the door. Handy for shops and pubs in the village.

We very much appreciated you accommodating us at the last minute and were delighted to find such a thoughtful welcome! We would love to come back and enjoyed the peace and quiet of St Just, (amazed to think there was any concern with traffic noise!). Three cheers from us!
