Mynheer Farm Barn, Redruth

Perfectly finished with loving care, this converted barn is in one of the best places to explore the north and south coasts of Cornwall both of which can be reached by car within less than thirty minutes.

Property Description

Such attention to detail in finishing materials is rarely seen and guests will find great pleasure in the comfort and warmth of Mynheer Farm Barn. Only a half mile walk from one of the best local village pubs, The Star Inn at Vogue, and within a five minute car drive of the market town of Redruth with many shops and restaurants, this holiday home will be a favourite with couples and families alike. The beaches of Porthtowan, Gwithian and Portreath and the pretty town of St Agnes and Trevaunance Cove, are within an easy drive to the north coast. Falmouth and its beaches at Swanpool and Maenporth as well as access to the Roseland peninsula are also very accessible. Situated on National Cycle Route 3, the local area is steeped in mining history and St Day is known as a passing place used by pilgrims making their way from Canterbury to the shrine at St Michael's Mount. In the Owner's garden nearby is a Roman milestone which is a Grade II listed monument and likely to have been a marker for the crossroads from north to South. The visitor centre and open air amphitheatre at Gwennap Pit, (built where John Wesley preached), is within easy walking distance from the Barn; during the summer there are concerts and church meetings. Mynheer Farm Barn accommodation offers a stylish living and dining room with wood burner and steps to a bright kitchen and breakfast room where guests are welcomed with a cream tea. On the first floor there is a double room with large picture windows looking out across the fields and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is conveniently arranged so that it may provide a 5' bed or two 2'6" single beds (ideal for children), and also with an en-suite shower room. Parking is available within the grounds. There is a granite flag stoned private terrace with access to a built-in barbecue area.
