Sitting prominently above the dramatic shoreline of the north coast Tregosse House enjoys fantastic coastal and rural views from all rooms. On a clear day it is possible to see as far as Rumps Point in the south and beyond Tintagel to Lundy Island in the north. Perfectly placed for exploring the north coast, there are footpaths directly from the house taking you to the sandy surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand within ten minutes. Following the coast path in a northerly direction will bring you to Tintagel, famous for its castle ruins, the town is steeped in legend and mystery and is said to be the birthplace of King Arthur. Today the village has a holiday atmosphere with numerous cafes and curio shops. A trip to Boscastle, just to the north of Tintagel is a must, this unspoilt harbour village is Designated an Area of Outstanding Beauty and is home to the October Boscastle Festival of 'Real Food', Arts & Crafts. For the energetic the lifeguarded beach at Trebarwith Strand is the ideal location to learn to surf with a surf school offering tuition for those eight years and upwards. Efforts will be rewarded with a well earned drink or a meal at The Port William Inn which nestles into the cliff overlooking the beach or The Mill House Inn and restaurant in the valley above. More extensive water based activities such as water skiing, sailing, diving and fishing trips are available on The Camel Estuary from the village of Rock, approximately 30 minutes by car. There are a wealth of options for golfers, from championship coastal courses such as St Enodoc, and Trevose to the likes of Bowood, Lanhydrock and Roserrow which are suitable for all abilities. With accommodation arranged over three floors, Tregosse House has homely feel yet also a great feeling of light and space created by the high ceilings and lovely bay windows to the seaward side. There are two principal rooms on the ground floor, a lovely sitting room with wood burning stove and a well equipped open plan kitchen/dining room with super table offering ample space for ten guests to eat together. The five bedrooms are arranged over the first and second floors, all are good sized double rooms with fine coastal views. Three of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and three also have televisions. There is an enclosed lawned garden to the rear of the house and parking is available for several cars on the track directly outside the house. Arrival time after 4pm.
