Situated within St Austell Bay, Charlestown is an unspoilt harbour with a wealth of charm and character. Famed for its Tall Ships nestled within the ancient harbour walls, Charlestown is also well known as the setting for many films and period dramas. Charlestown is arguably one of the most beautiful stretches of the coastal path. Within easy reach are the beaches of Duporth, Porthpean and Carlyon Bay. 'Windjammer', which sleeps 5, is part of a sympathetically restored old granite barn of historical interest. It's set back in a small courtyard of stone cottages a mere 500 yards from the beach, with off road parking for one car. Against a backdrop of cherry wood floors and cool décor the bright rooms are beautifully furnished to provide a relaxed contemporary style of living. The ground floor is open plan, with a full height South facing window looking onto the sunny patio to the front - the perfect place for that glass of wine as the sun goes down!The spacious but cosy lounge flows effortlessly to the dining area, alongside the modern and well equipped kitchen. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a large en-suite. The second bedroom comprises full size bunks and a single bed, adding versatility to your stay. There is a further main bathroom and also a downstairs cloak room. Across the courtyard a locked cupboard provides useful storage for bicycles & surf boards. The unspoilt port has plenty to offer the discerning visitor, with many pubs, restaurants and unique shops on hand. Places to visit include the Shipwreck & Heritage Centre, the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the China Clay Museum, St Austell Brewery, Mevagissey and Fowey.

Outside storage cupboard. Other Amenities: Wireless and Wired Broadband. Dishwasher, washer/dryer, freezer and Ipod dock. Bed linen provided. Towels not available. Central heating. Guests welcome after 4pm vacate by 11am.
