Falmouth, steeped in maritime history and beautiful beaches at Gyllyngvase and Swanpool, is a 15 minute drive away with eateries and traditional inns with local and fresh Cornish fayre to tickle your taste-buds, or head to the Cathedral city of Truro with eclectic shops galore. Explore the beautiful villages and beaches on the Roseland Peninsula via the King Harry Car Ferry or hire a boat or canoe at nearby Mylor and discover the River Fal's attractive creeks and inlets. Visit the Eden Project with its giant bio-domes of flora and fauna from around the globe or peruse the Lost Gardens of Heligan, both within a 40 minutes drive.
