Property Description

With the sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand a fifteen minute downhill stroll, Parwin offers the perfect base for families looking to enjoy the watersports, walks, beaches and villages of the north Cornish coast. This beautifully presented house is in the hamlet of Treknow just half a mile inland from the rugged coastline between the pretty fishing village of Port Isaac and the legendary Tintagel. Famous for its castle ruins Tintagel is said to be the birthplace of King Arthur although today it has more of a holiday atmosphere with cafes and curio shops. Lifeguarded in the summer months, Trebarwith Strand Beach has a wide expanse of sand at low tide and a surf school. There are two pubs in the village, The Port William Inn which nestles into the cliff overlooking the beach and the highly regarded Mill House Inn and restaurant in the valley above. The north coast is a haven for water based activities with water skiing, sailing, diving and fishing trips available on The Camel Estuary from the village of Rock, approximately 30 minutes by car. There are a wealth of options for golfers, from championship coastal courses such as St Enodoc, and Trevose to the likes of Bowood, Lanhydrock and Roserrow which are suitable for all abilities. Internally Parwin offers a clever mix of contemporary furnishings, pretty fabrics and quirky retro pieces. With a wood burning stove, the sitting room is warm and cosy in contrast with the light and airy kitchen from which patio doors open to an enclosed sun trap courtyard garden. Each of the four bedrooms is individual in style with two twin bedrooms and two king size bedrooms, one of which has a super wet room style en-suite shower room.
