Property Description

This splendid building, once a magnificent hotel, is situated on the headland known as Chynhalls Point high above the picturesque fishing village of Coverack. Built in the Edwardian era now very cleverly transformed into luxury apartments and cottages, all have double glazing and full electric heating. Coverack Headland provides its own haven of peace and tranquillity in idyllic surroundings, protected by the National Trust and also designated a site of 'Special Scientific Interest'. Most of the apartments look directly out to sea over the heather-clad headland and the whole building is circled by its own well attended lawns and cliff top fauna. Coverack Headland has its own beach, reached by footpath. It is a secluded sandy cove, which is ideal for swimming or beach games. The grounds, with the exception of the main lawns, are a wonderful area for children to play in or explore with complete freedom and there is also a tennis court for guests use. The village is less than 1/2 mile away where there is a pub, restaurant and shops. Also in the village it is possible to take wind-surfing lessons in the bay or arrange deep sea fishing trips, whilst not far away is the Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station which is well worth a visit. For golfers the links-type course at Mullion can provide quite a challenge. Off the entrance foyer is a payphone and a laundry room with automatic washing machine and tumble dryer. The apartment has its own allotted space for parking one car. "No 7 is heaven" said one of our visitors. The apartment is comfortably and tastefully furnished and easily accessible on the first floor. Highlights include spectacular views from every window and a large balcony allowing an 180 degree vista from the cliffs of Black Head to the far away Roseland Peninsula. Dine al fresco, sunbathe or simply soak up the scenery - this is an ideal holiday haven. There is allocated parking for one car.
