Well off the beaten track amidst the fields and woodland of the beautiful Boconnoc Estate, this 260 acre organic farm is an ideal retreat for those seeking peace and tranquillity. Wonderful to see lambs gambolling around the fields in spring, the mixed livestock includes a suckler herd of beef cattle and calves, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks and various pets. Visitors are welcome to meet the animals and help with feeding and there is stabling and grazing for those wishing to bring their horses. You have freedom to wander across the quiet farmland and orchard, stroll down the traffic free lanes or picnic beside ponds that are fed by a stream that meanders through the farm. Not far from this paradise are the bustling seaside towns of Fowey and Looe, as is the delightful fishing village of Polperro. The small picturesque village of Lerryn is just three miles away, here you will find a village store and a popular pub. Lostwithiel, the ancient capital of Cornwall is six miles to the west whilst the market town of Liskeard is eight miles to the east. Excellent golf courses, stately homes, castles, steam railways and beautiful gardens and rugged moorland merit a visit at any time. Whether you are looking for rural bliss in which to relax and unwind or to fill your days with an action packed holiday Apple Loft will not disappoint you. Originally the home of the cider press the barn on the east wing of the farmhouse retains many character features. The curved wall where the press once stood, low beams and a galleried bedroom accessed by steep stairs add interest to the interior. Practical and open plan, the living room is nicely furnished. The low beams in the twin bedroom make it more suitable for children. There is a small enclosed garden at the rear.
