Nestling with other individual cottages in the small hamlet of Escalls just above the cliffs of Sennen Cove just let the sea air invigorate the senses... Escalls is a friendly environment for families and there are many walks that can take guests to the edge of the cliffs along to the beautiful Whitesand Bay at Sennen Cove where the beach is registered as 'Blue Flag'. Gwenver beach is nearby too and is ideal for surfing and allows dogs. A very peaceful situation well off the main thoroughfare with wonderful walking and coastal scenery, and convenient for the village of Sennen which is only about a mile away. Here there are cafes, very good quality restaurants, pubs, a church, shops, Post Office and garage for repairs. The famous landmark of Land's End is only about two miles away, and the bustling market town of Penzance with its long seaside promenade looking out to St. Michael's mount is a short drive only. The quaint 'artists paradise' of St Ives is also easy to reach by car. The open air Minack Theatre set into the cliff face is also close where both amateur and professional shows can be seen in this unusual and most picturesque setting during the summer months. A warm welcome is guaranteed at this cottage that has a long history of providing excellent accommodation for guests that return year on year to enjoy the magnificent location and the epitome of old character, highlighted by a large inglenook fireplace featuring the original bread oven and which now houses an multi fuel stove for those cooler evenings. Renovated and extended to add comfort and definite enhancement such as in the fitted kitchen and pretty bedrooms, this semi detached cottage offers a double and twin room (with glimpses of the sea) and a pleasant enclosed garden backing onto open farmland. There is private parking adjacent to the property.
