Parklands, Nr Wadebridge
Property Description
Lying in three acres of grounds believed to be once part of the Colquite estate, Parklands is set in beautiful private gardens of mature trees and evergreen shrubs with lawns, ornamental ponds (children to be supervised) and a tennis court. Not overlooked by the owners residence which lies behind, this delightful holiday property and its surroundings are truly special. Time can be spent relaxing on the sun terrace or having a picnic on the large expanse of lawn in front of Parklands or quietly watching for rabbits and squirrels to appear. A perfect retreat at any time of year, the harmony of pale carpeting and a neutral décor accentuates the spacious aspect of an interior which is tastefully presented, promotes restful comfort. The living room is furnished with brown leather seating and looks out to the conservatory and beyond to the garden; the bedrooms are attractively arranged and both the kitchen and bathroom are newly fitted. When ready to explore Pencarrow House (a fine Georgian mansion open to the public) is just down the road; the Camel Cycle trail to Padstow is just two miles away at Dunmere and the superb beaches of Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath are all within a 15 to 20 minute drive. A good range of shops and restaurants can be found in the bustling town of Wadebridge 3.5 miles away, but closer to home the Camel Valley Vineyard is well worth a visit, and the Trehellis restaurant, about 500 yards away, have both proven very popular with our guests. Similarly if you are a fisherman, the Camel River, which is renowned for its salmon fishing, is close by. There is ample parking for two cars.
