Property Description

Described by Cornwall Today as 'simply an earthly paradise', Hallowarren is a very special holiday venue. Tucked away in a beautiful sheltered valley, this lovely barn has featured in Cornwall Today and Country Homes and Interiors. Set in lawns bordered by a stream with private woodland beyond, this is a perfect rural retreat. Secluded but not remote; the barn is one mile from Manaccan with a shop, restaurant and pub and close to the coves of Gillan and Flushing. Handsomely presented throughout with full central heating, there is a large lounge with opulent furniture and a cast iron electric wood-burner, an unfitted kitchen with a Rayburn and Belfast sink as well as a well-equipped utility room and shower room. The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom has a huge stable door opening onto granary steps which lead into the lush and peaceful garden. There are two further bedrooms with views of the garden reached by a divided staircase and a big, family bathroom. Walk one mile beside the creek to St Anthony where the church is almost positioned on the beach and there are boats for hire, clothes, chandlery and ice creams for sale; you will discover some of the most breathtaking scenery in Cornwall. Look out for kingfishers, curlews, shell-ducks, swans and oyster catchers as you wind your way along this narrow lane. There is ample parking for cars and boats and as such, the barn is a perfect situation for those who wish to bring their own equipment to use in the various creeks and coastal waters. Helford Village is only 2 miles away by road where you will find a pub, shop, café and foot ferry. The barn is also well-positioned to explore the Lizard, Coverack and St Keverne where further entertainment and beaches are in abundance.

Ground Floor: Lounge with electric wood-burner. Kitchen with Rayburn. Utility room. Shower room with WC. First Floor: Master bedroom with 5' brass bed, TV and en-suite. Bedroom 2 Double (brass). Bedroom 3 Twin (brass). Bathroom with bath and WC. Other Amenities: Wireless Broadband, Sky TV, telephone, dishwasher, tumble drier and barbecue. Two cots available. Dogs welcome at £25 per week. Bed linen and towels provided.
