This detached character cottage is set in a simply outstanding location above the wild and rocky shoreline on a steeply wooded cliff face with panoramic views of Polperro harbour and the dramatic coast and sea from most rooms and also from the south facing sun-drenched terrace which runs the full length of the cottage. A more magical spot would be hard to find!Enjoying a unique and secluded position the cottage is approached from its own car park and down approx 200 steps. It is more than worth the effort for the able bodied and once at the cottage it is less than a 5 minute walk to the east side of the harbour down the coastal foot path accessed from the foot of the grounds. Pack a light load or simply have your luggage taxied to the cottage (subject to availability and by independent arrangement with the property manager). With its white-washed cottages and multi-coloured fishing boats Polperro is said to be one of the country's most beautiful coastal villages. It is still a working fishing village and you can idly watch the boats come and go from the comfort of the cottage or partake in a fishing trip or pleasure cruises which can be arranged from the quayside. The interior possesses a welcoming and relaxed ambience combining period features with modern amenities and two bathrooms. The sounds and sights of the sea are ever present from the spacious sitting room and there is the added comfort of a wood burner. Three bedrooms are seaward facing and the master bedroom has an attractive en-suite bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower cubicle. There are views to the valley of Polperro. Parking for two cars. Care must be taken with young children on the steps down to the cottage. Unsuitable for the infirm.
