Tucked down a quiet lane in the old part of picturesque Boscastle, just paces from the quaintly narrow Fore Street where ancient cottages straddle the hill which sweeps down to the sea, Ostlers sits semi-detached with the unexpected rarity of a small sheltered garden and easy parking at the rear. Delightfully restored, the cottage oozes ambience and stepping through the stable door guests will be welcomed by a bright, fresh interior that boasts all modern creature comforts. The brand new kitchen displays a range of beech fitted units topped by black glossy worktops which complement the natural stone tiles that extend throughout the ground floor. Across the hall a well equipped utility room doubles as a useful cloakroom for outdoor wear. Tastefully furnished in contemporary style you can experience the cosy atmosphere of a comfortably arranged living room where deep set window sills adorned with interesting artefacts authenticate the thickness of the walls. In keeping with an older character cottage, the stairs leading off the living room and up to the smart beige and white themed bathroom and attractive bedrooms carpeted for comfort, are slightly steeper than usual. A conservation area of outstanding natural beauty, keen walkers will enjoy exploring the peaceful Valency Valley so beloved by Thomas Hardy, or striking out along the coastal footpath towards Tintagel returning to eat in an award winning restaurant or old Inn just yards away. A ten minute stroll will take you down to the tiny unspoilt harbour approached by a treacherous narrow inlet which now hard to believe, was once an active port. Cargoes were transported by horse drawn vehicles to and from here and an original horse trough still stands close to the cottage in Gunpool Lane.
