Property Description

This impressive former chapel is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, one mile from the beautiful north coast in the unspoilt hamlet of Carnyorth, situated equidistant between St Ives and Land's End. Overlooking peaceful green fields towards the sea, the landscape surrounding The Old Chapel has a rich heritage and a mystical and dreamy quality to it, being home to the early tin and copper mines and ancient granite agricultural settlements. A short walk along the coastal footpath leads to The Levant Mine (Cornwall's oldest engine house with working steam engine) and Geevor Tin Mine, now a heritage museum, whilst inland on the lonesome rugged moorland is visible evidence of the Bronze and Iron Age Celts dating back to 4000BC. Walkers (and their pets) and nature lovers are drawn to the area and the scenic footpaths which trail along dramatic cliff tops and golden beaches. Priests Cove beach, with its fishermen's huts and fishing boats, is within walking distance and the popular beaches at Sennen and Porthcurno are within a 15 minute drive. Penzance, St Just, St Ives and Land's End are also within easy reach. The Old Chapel has been sensitively converted, combining original architectural features with the style and convenience of modern living. High ceilings, tall Gothic windows and wood flooring (practical for pets, sandy feet and hiking boots) and the original pew add an atmospheric charm. There is a large open plan living space and three attractive bedrooms, one equipped with an ensuite shower room. To the rear is a sheltered spot equipped with garden furniture and there is parking for one car (additional parking space is available on request).

Up to three well controlled pets welcome free of charge. NB Fridge has no freezer compartment. PETS GO FREE!
