Sennen Cove, situated on the beautiful far tip of the Cornish Peninsula, is a charismatic old fishing village boasting one of the UK's best 'Blue Flag' beaches. Unspoilt and picturesque, traditional granite cottages pepper the cliff tops and the gorse cliff face down to the shoreline where they keep watch over the everchanging ocean and the fishing boats moored at the ancient harbour. A mecca for beach loving families and surfers, the sandy beach is host to a renowned surfing school and life guards patrol the shores during the summer season. An uphill walk from the seashore leads to historic Sennen Churchtown (on the renowned Land's End to St Ives coastal road) and within its fold is Tregean Cottage. Dating back to the 1800's and nestled by the road with open countryside in its view and the ocean on the horizon; the cottage possesses immense charm and character. Guests will find it convenient for exploring the scenic coastline, hidden coves and beaches and rugged moorland with its Iron Age and mining ruins. A visit to the popular seaside resort of St Ives, the ancient market town of Penzance or the stunning Isles of Scilly are just some of the day trip opportunities for guests. This English Heritage listed cottage was refurbished in 2009 with a brand new kitchen, bathroom and soft furnishings including comfortable new leather settees and new carpet throughout. The spacious sitting room is equipped with a wood burning stove and the inclusion of electric heating makes it ideal for breaks for couples and families at any time of year. There is a private and enclosed courtyard garden to the rear and a pub, restaurant, convenience store and post office close by. There is parking in front of the cottage.
