Surrounded by lush green countryside and just over 2 miles from the famous Helford Village and the Shipwright Arms pub is Withan Farm Wing. Situated down a private lane, this the perfect place for a family wishing to escape to the country. Attached to the owner's residence on their working livestock farm, Withan Farm Wing is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on a footpath which leads down to Frenchman's Creek in just 10 minutes. Made famous by Daphne Du Maurier in the romantic novel of the same name, the creek is a step back in time with deep still waters and ancient oak forests lining its banks. Continuing along the creek will bring you to Helford Village where you can enjoy a fantastic seafood platter, a cream tea or simply stroll along the shoreline looking out to the idyllic Helford River, one of Britain's finest sailing waters. Withan Farm Wing offers very comfortable accommodation with plenty of character. Both the master and twin bedrooms are decorated to a very good standard with original woodwork dating back more than 200 years and fine traditional furniture. The bunk bedroom is perfect for children and the ground floor single bedroom is ideal for the more elderly or simply an additional room if required. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the spacious garden, with its apple trees and sheltered sun terrace for alfresco dining. Provisions can be bought in the village store of Newtown St Martin and a mile and a half away is Gear Farm, an organic farm shop. The market town of Helston is 8 miles away. There is ample parking at the property. Special rates may be available for smaller groups out of season by arrangement with the owner.

First Floor: Bedroom 1 Double with basin. Bedroom 2 Twin with basin. Bedroom 3 Children's bunk beds. Other Amenities: Dishwasher, trampoline and barbecue. Night store heating. Bed linen and towels provided. Please note arrival is after 4pm.
