One of Cornwall's premier resorts, this sought-after village nestles in the crescent of Mount's Bay, described as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. With seasonal lifeguard patrol, the long stretch of sandy beach faces south and is backed by grassy dunes, flanked by tall cliffs and reveals rock pools at low tide where children will have fun exploring the marine habitat. It is attractive to surfers and there is a water sports school on the shores offering tuition/equipment hire. More genteel pursuits are accessible with Praa Sands 9 hole golf course and its National Trust protected landscape is popular among nature-lovers and walkers. There is a beach front bar, restaurants, post office/convenience store within walking distance. The coast path stretches in either direction tracing its way through a Mediterranean atmosphere past Prussia Cove, Perranuthnoe, Marazion (complemented by the castle topped isle of St Michael's Mount) and Penzance to the west. The charming fishing village of Porthleven and the ancient market town of Helston, also the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, are located a short distance to the east. Adjoining the owners' residence yet offering a high degree of privacy, the accommodation is spacious and presented to a high standard with leather settees, original artwork and a well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms open onto an attractive private area of the coastal garden (approached by two steps). Children must be supervised in the garden. There is parking for one car.
