The area is popular for visitors to the Godolphin Estate owned and managed by the National Trust with architecturally rich grounds and gardens dating to 16th century. Goldolphin village also has an interesting history and the cottage itself is attached to what used to be the old coaching house and part of the Duke of Leed's Estate. All guests are received with a warm welcome. The village pub, The Godolphin Arms is in stumbling distance and offers friendly service, good food and local ales and wines, with the village shop just minutes by car. Situated midway between the towns of Hayle and Helston, and 5 minutes to the beaches of Praa Sands and Gwithian, amongst others, within 30 minutes or less guests can explore all of West Cornwall including St Ives, Lands End, and Penzance experiencing St Michael's Mount, the Minack Theatre, and even the fun of Flambards Theme Park. The accommodation shows off all its old features and has a superb kitchen with Belfast sink, a wood burner in the cosy living room and one very large double bedroom, a second bedroom with a single bed that converts to a double, and a bathroom and shower. Post Box Cottage is a magical world of age old beauty combined with modern living in a beautiful tranquil setting. There is a small private level garden with outside WC. Parking is on street or in the pub car park nearby.
