The bustling port of Fowey with its hidden coves and beaches is one of Cornwall's most idyllic holiday destinations. The town is host to many events throughout the year but is perhaps best known for the annual Daphne du Maurier Festival, it's fabulous Regatta Week and Christmas Market. This historic town is an ideal place to relax and it's easy to while away the hours sitting outside a wine bar or coffee shop watching people go by. The winding streets are home to many original bijou shops, delicatessens, boutiques and galleries as well as a variety of high quality restaurants. There is a wide range of activities available in the area, many of which are waterbased, including boat trips or fishing and the more active can hire canoes to explore the many creeks of the River Fowey. For those who prefer to stay on dry land, there are countless walks in and around the estuary and coast and of course some beautiful sandy beaches. Brilliantly located, Ferryside Watch offers period charm with a real sense of peace and tranquillity that belies its proximity to the bustle of the town centre.
