Property Description
The Village of Gardens, Pendra Loweth is a village of purpose built and privately owned self-catering holiday cottages. Situated in the beautiful and peaceful valley leading down to Maenporth Beach, Falmouth. With onsite facilities including tennis courts, children's outdoor play area, an indoor plunge pool (Open 29th March until 2nd November 2013) and The Village Arms (Open 15th February to 2nd November 2013). Tucked in the corner, just along from the tennis courts, Foxglove is cleverly situated to admire the garden views. Foxglove is beautifully presented and light and airy, with attractive open plan living space and French doors opening onto the gardens plus a double aspect corner providing plenty of view points. The well equipped kitchen has ample work area and there are two bedrooms, a twin and a double both overlooking the gardens. Equipped with comfortable terrace furniture it is a pleasant place to relax after a walk to the beach or a quick workout in the gym! There is a parking space and visitor parking nearby. Enjoying the warmth of the south west aspect of the village, Foxglove enjoys simple access to the paths and lanes leading to Maenporth Cove. Walking to the beach from your cottage will take fifteen minutes or so, making it easy to leave the car behind for the day. Foxglove guests wanting to enjoy a game of tennis are just a stone's throw away from the all weather courts and those wanting to avoid such strenuous activity will appreciate the secluded aspect of the terrace. Just a few minutes stroll to the central amenities and you can enjoy a meal at the Village Pub or pick up provisions from the store, those who have not ventured to the beach may enjoy a dip in the splash pool or free time in the gym. Perhaps the best work out to be had is a circular walk from the cottage, down to Maenporth cove, up across the spectacular coast path toward Swanpool and then back up through the lanes to the village; roughly five miles but well worth the effort for those wanting to soak up the best that this special location has to offer. North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns. Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the River towards Truro. The Cornish Cottage Holidays team is always on hand to advise you on the area and to help you plan your stay with us.
