The Village of Gardens, Pendra Loweth is a village of purpose built and privately owned self-catering holiday cottages. Situated in the beautiful and peaceful valley leading down to Maenporth Beach, Falmouth. With onsite facilities including tennis courts, children's outdoor play area, an indoor plunge pool (Open 29th March until 2nd November 2013) and The Village Arms (Open 15th February to 2nd November 2013). With a terrace directly abutting the grassy bank of the bubbling stream which runs through the village is Kernow Cottage. South west facing French windows open from the living area to the terrace enabling you to enjoy a family barbeque or just a quiet glass of wine in the evening sunshine. This comfortable property has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with colourful terracotta sofas and the owners have provided a selection of board games and dvds to watch on the flat screen television. The first floor is home to three bedrooms, two of which provide twin beds and one with a double bed. There is a family bathroom on the first floor plus a useful shower room on the ground floor. To the front of the cottage is allocated parking for one car plus visitor parking. Set on the North side of the Village, Kernow Cottage enjoys access from the winding lanes which lead in from Swanpool road. Whilst just a short stroll from the centre of the village, this spot seems to retain an additional air of tranquility, being beautifully planted, guests will enjoy seasonal highlights all year round. Spring daffodils, summer ferns and rhododendrons and autumnal oaks are fastidiously managed by the grounds team and make up just part of the flora and foliage. From the cottage you will enjoy easy access to the Village Pub and Stores and for those wanting a dip in the splash pool after a work-out in the gym, look no further. Guests are bound to be drawn to the Village because of the close proximity to local beaches; a fifteen minute walk along the local lanes will have you at Swanpool. Here you will find a sandy, protected and vibrant cove. If you fancy lunch or dinner with a sea view we thoroughly recommend Indaba, set on the west side of the cove and serving superb local fayre. Just as convenient is the slightly quieter cove at Maenporth, again the perfect spot in which to spend a day on the beach but close enough to pop to for a couple of hours of just an invigorating swim. North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns. Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the Truro River.
