Situated in the beautiful and peaceful valley leading down to Maenporth Beach, Falmouth. With onsite facilities including tennis courts, children's outdoor play area, an indoor plunge pool (Open 29th March until 2nd November 2013) and The Village Arms (Open 15th February to 2nd November 2013). Starfish Cottage is a two bedroom mid terrace cottage which enjoys a southerly aspect overlooking delightful gardens to the rear. The Open plan ground floor living area provides a relaxing space to return to after a day of exploring the Cornish countryside; fling open the French windows and enjoy a barbeque on the terrace which is a real suntrap in the summer months. Beyond the terrace is a communal lawned garden where children can play games whilst parents enjoy a well earned rest. In the cooler months the kitchen off the living space will make preparing meals a sociable event. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a double and a spacious twin plus a family bathroom. There is one allocated parking space plus visitor parking nearby. Enjoying the south west aspect of the village, Starfish Cottage benefits from easy access to the coastal footpaths and Maenporth Cove. Walking to the beach from your cottage will take approximately fifteen minutes, making it easy to leave the car behind for the day. Guests wanting to enjoy a game of tennis are just a stone's throw away from the all weather courts whilst those wanting to relax will appreciate the private terrace. Just a few minutes stroll to the central amenities and you can enjoy a meal at the Village Pub or pick up provisions from the store. Those who have not ventured to the beach may enjoy a dip in the Splash Pool or a work out in the Gym. Perhaps the best work out to be had is a circular walk from the cottage, down to Maenporth cove, up across the spectacular coastal footpath toward Swanpool and then back up through the pretty lanes to the village; roughly five miles but well worth the effort for those wanting to appreciate all that this special location has to offer. North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns. Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the Truro River.
