Lodge, Bolenowe

New to our portfolio and well suited to families and pet owners, The Lodge is a comfortable bungalow set in a peaceful rural setting, equidistant to the North and South coast adn beaches.

Property Description

This well appointed detached granite fronted bungalow allows guests to bring their pets on holiday without having to compromise on comfort and cost. Located off the Helston to Redruth road in the peaceful hamlet of Bolenowe (near the old mining town of Camborne), The Lodge is well placed for a relaxing break. With easy access to the A30 and equi-distant to the north coast and south coast, providing an excellent base for exploring Cornwall's diverse landscapes, sandy beaches and charming fishing villages. The vibrant maritime town of Falmouth on Cornwall's south coast and the blue flag beach at Porthtowan on the north coast are within a 30 minute drive as too is Cornwall's capital, Truro. It is perfect for keen walkers, cyclists and naturalists with access from the front door step to scenic countryside footpaths. The surrounding hills and moorlands provide a rich habitat for bird and wildlife and are crowned with thick gorse, heather and bluebells in spring and children will love to meet the chickens, horses and sheep at the owner's small holding (by prior arrangement). The far reaching views from here are wondrous, spanning as far as St Ives and St Agnes on the north coast and Praa Sands on the south coast, and there is access to the famous Great Flat Lode Trail, a significant component of Cornwall's mining heritage. Arranged on one level, The Lodge is pristine and has been part refurbished with new furniture including plump and genuinely comfortable mattresses and settees. The sitting room is spacious and benefits from a gas fire that adds a cosy ambience on out of season breaks. A large well equipped kitchen, dining room, three attractive bedrooms (each providing adequate storage with divan beds, chest of drawers and clothes hooks) and a family bathroom complete the accommodation. To the rear is a small enclosed pet-safe terraced patio garden. There is off road parking for one car.
