Roosters, Lostwithiel

Property Description

Just a mile outside the Medieval town of Lostwithiel, Roosters is part of an ancient farmstead sitting in a pretty valley with views over rolling countryside. Growing in popularity, Lostwithiel offers a good range of local facilities including delicatessens, cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as being famous for its many antique shops. Continuing south will bring you to the historic seaport of Fowey. Here it is easy to while away the hours watching some of the 7000 visiting yachts which flock to the natural harbour each year. The local area is a haven for walkers and a day out on Bodmin Moor will evoke the myth and legend for which it is famous. There are also numerous circular walks and the South West Coast Path will bring you to secluded beaches and coves. Attached to the owner's farmhouse, Roosters is a split level barn which has been converted to provide luxury accommodation for four. Entrance is at first floor level directly from the parking area and terrace at the rear. Once inside the open plan living room has a country cottage feel with a modern twist. The dual aspect master bedroom, also on the first floor has pretty fabrics and quality furnishings; fling open the French windows and enjoy the view with morning coffee on the balcony. Adults or children will be equally happy in the ground floor twin bedroom which has a superb en-suite wet room. Roosters has a level terrace at the rear which is perfect for alfresco dining as well as access to a small lawned garden beyond. Visitors are also welcome to explore the owner's nine acres of grassland with ponds on which pedigree Shropshire Sheep graze (children & pets should be supervised). For larger groups, Roosters is adjacent to The Byre and The Wagon House which both sleep two offering accommodation for a total of eight.
