Property Description
The Village of Gardens, Pendra Loweth is a village of purpose built and privately owned self-catering holiday cottages. Situated in the beautiful and peaceful valley leading down to Maenporth Beach, Falmouth. With onsite facilities including tennis courts, children's outdoor play area, an indoor plunge pool (Open 29th March until 2nd November 2013) and The Village Arms (Open 15th February to 2nd November 2013). This much loved, child friendly property is great fun for all the family who will love the variety of activities onsite as well as the opportunity to surf and play at nearby beaches at Swanpool and Maenporth. As well as open plan and stylish accommodation it has a well stocked selection of books, DVD's, games, learner's surf board (used at own risk) and toys for the younger members of the family. The area is ideal for cycling too! Stable doors lead from the main living area to the front terrace or the rear where the stream runs by. The kitchen is cleverly arranged with ample work area and there are three bedrooms; one on the ground floor with the use of the guest WC, and upstairs, a double and a good sized room with bunk beds. There is a parking space and visitor parking nearby. Set on the far edge of the Village, Pugwash Cottage enjoys access from the winding lanes which lead in from the Swanpool beach road. Whilst just a short stroll from the centre of the village, this spot seems to retain an additional air of tranquility, being beautifully planted, guests will enjoy seasonal highlights all year round. Spring daffodils, summer ferns, rhododendrons and autumnal oaks are fastidiously managed by the grounds team and make up just part of the flora and foliage displays in the grounds. From the cottage you will enjoy easy access to the Village Pub and Stores and for those wanting a dip in the splash pool after a work-out in the gym, look no further. Drawn to the Village because of the close proximity to local beaches, guests can take the lanes and after a fifteen minute walk arrive at Swanpool. Here you will find a sandy, protected and vibrant cove that has easy level access. If you fancy lunch or dinner with a sea view, try Indaba serving superb local fayre, as well as the other cafes and eateries in the area. Just as convenient is the slightly quieter cove at Maenporth, again the perfect spot in which to spend a day on the beach but close enough to pop to for a couple of hours and an invigorating swim. North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns. Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the river towards Truro. The Cornish Cottage Holidays team is always on hand to advise you on the area and to help you plan your stay with us.
