The pretty twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are situated in the far south eastern corner of Cornwall on the Rame Peninsula, sheltered by a wooded headland at the mouth of The Plymouth Sound. The sea is an ever changing vista of rowing boats, yachts and the village's own Cornish Gig. There are pebble and sandy beaches, narrow lanes leading to a few charming shops, cafes and pubs where you are sure to receive a warm welcome. The coast path runs through the village, taking you to secret coves and stunning scenery, including the 800 acre Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, with its restored mansion and Grade 1 listed gardens. Samphire is a traditional terraced cottage furnished in a contemporary style with a blend of seaside memorabilia. Samphire has open plan living accommodation on the ground floor, with a lovely open fire and a galley kitchen to the rear. On the first floor is a spacious twin bedroom enjoying fine sea views plus a shower with WC. Walking on through the shower room will bring you to a further single bedroom. On the second floor is the wonderfully light and bright master bedroom with glorious sea views to two aspects even a bath tub with a view! What will you see, seals, submarines or selkies? There is also a separate WC on this level. Parking can be found in the village car park a few minutes walk away where weekly tickets can be purchased. One well behaved dog welcome at £15 per week.
