Property Description

Set just above the grassy dunes which run the length of Praa Sands beach is Summers Rest, a well presented ground floor apartment with comfortable accommodation for four. The mile long stretch of sandy beach is a favourite with families and surfers alike with lifeguard patrol during the summer months. The Sandbar perched above the beach offers refreshments overlooking the crashing waves whilst the adjacent family friendly Beach Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch during high season. There is also a small shop and post office within easy reach of the apartment. Intrepid walkers will enjoy easy access to the South West Coast Path with Porthleven approximately 5 miles to the east and Marazion 5 miles to the west. Praa Sands is also home to a golf club where all nine tees enjoy spectacular sea views and visitors are welcome. A trip along the south coast to Penzance is most worthwhile, the town is the capital of west Cornwall and is home to many art galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants. Sitting on the edge of Mounts Bay, the town is the gateway to the Lands End peninsula. From Penzance visitors can hop on a train to the quintessential north coastal resort of St Ives where pretty cottages line the narrow winding streets around the harbour. The town is famous as home to galleries including the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth museum. Summers Rest has a calming neutral colour scheme throughout creating a relaxing atmosphere. The sitting room is has a wood burning stove for the cooler evenings whilst summer nights can be spent in the conservatory overlooking the garden at the front. There are two bedrooms, a snug double and a twin which share a family bathroom. The enclosed garden at the front of the apartment has a terrace with garden furniture plus a small lawn. Parking for one car is available in a nearby garage.
