Peaceful and unspoilt, Lamorna is a long standing favourite with artists who are inspired by the natural beauty of the lush wooded valley. With vivid marine life and wreckage from its smuggling history, Lamorna is also a popular spot for divers. Facilities at the cove include a cafe which serves breakfasts and lunches whilst about ½ mile away is the 'Lamorna Wink' a traditional pub. The nearby upmarket Cove Hotel is also open to non residents with a bar, restaurant and swimming pool which are open from April to October. A former fisherman's cottage, Away Down offers homely accommodation with both the snug sitting room and dining room overlooking the harbour to the front. There is a modern kitchen to the rear as well as a shower room with WC on the ground floor. On the first floor are two attractive double bedrooms to the front where guests can lie in bed and drink in the view or be lulled to sleep by the sound of the lapping waves. There is also a twin room and a bunk room, and so offers flexible sleeping arrangements plus a family bathroom. The garden at the front of the cottage offers a place to sit and watch the activity around the cove and there is a small back garden accessed by a steep flight of steps. There is parking for two cars.
