There are three coves that are easy to walk to from the property; Mullion harbour is a delightful example of a Cornish fishing community, Poldhu Cove has a sandy stretch of beach with rolling waves for surfers and Polurrian Cove is a tranquil spot for bathers, or walk the coastal path to Kynance Cove or The Lizard. Porthleven, with its timeless harbour and sandy, sheltered beach and eclectic mix of galleries and eateries is within a 9 mile drive. Walkers can enjoy the 5 mile beach stroll at low tide around Mounts Bay to beautiful Praa Sands, where surf gear can be hired or lessons taken. There are excellent rock-pools for investigation at both ends of the mile long stretch of sands. Continue around the bay and discover the majestic St Michael's Mount, the part-time isle at Marazion. Venture across the cobbled causeway at low tide and wander the tiny harbour visit the café or restaurant or watch the sailing dinghies skimming the waters.
