From Lizard village the walk to Kynance Cove is truly wonderful; the view from above, with the contrasting green and blue waters against the dark rocks and white sands has excellent caves to explore at low tide. Praa Sands offers a beautiful mile long stretch of beach, popular with families, bathers and surfers. Explore ancient Marazion and adventure across the narrow causeway at low tide to the fortress topped semi-island of St Michael's Mount, and look back across the waters with its sailing and windsurfing. The maritime town of Falmouth is 13 miles away with many attractions; the historical Pendennis Castle with its Discovery Centre and hands-on activities is excellent for all ages in all weathers.
