Property Description
Chapel House nestles tranquilly in a leafy backwater just two and a half miles from Truro in the hamlet of Port Kea, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Within half a mile, explore Coombe Creek and the inlets of the Truro and Falmouth rivers. Ramble the creekside walks to the King Harry Ferry, where you can hop across the water to the stunningly scenic Roseland Peninsula, or visit the National Trust Trelissick Gardens. Forming part of a converted chapel, the property boasts a characterful interior with high arched windows giving a light, airy aspect and drawing in the lush views across farmland. The living room is spacious and open plan, with crisp white décor and comfy blue sofas, with a dining area and kitchen all under lofty ceilings, with oak panelled walls and botanical paintings. All on one level, the bedrooms are pretty and bijou and the bathroom is generous in size. Outside there is a small patio and garden for private use, and at the end of the drive is a short uphill walk through the owners field, leading to a lovely spot ideal for a picnic or barbecue magic, surrounded by the extensive elevated views stretching out over the creek and surrounding countryside. Perfectly positioned to explore many attractions, the sandy beaches and maritime museum of Falmouth are within a 15 minute drive away, with colourful harbour alive with bobbing pleasure boats and fishing vessels. The charismatic city of Truro, with the majestic three-spired cathedral standing over the pretty cobbled streets peppered with galleries and gift shops is a worthy destination. There is a myriad of restaurants, cafes, bars and traditional inns, all serving fabulous fresh local produce and Cornish ales and cyders. The superb north coast of Cornwall is a half hours drive away, with pretty coastal villages and coves to discover at leisure.
