The charismatic city of Truro, with the majestic three-spired cathedral standing over the pretty cobbled streets peppered with galleries and gift shops is a worthy destination. There is a myriad of restaurants, cafes, bars and traditional inns, all serving fabulous fresh local produce and Cornish ales and cyders. The superb north coast of Cornwall is a half hours drive away, with pretty coastal villages and coves to discover at leisure.
