Trevarrow, Coverack

Property Description

A picture postcard pink fronted thatched cottage superbly located within sight of waves splashing onto the rock strewn foreshore, Trevarrow has stood above the beach looking out across the sheltered bay since the 1700's. Escaping modern influences and remaining unspoilt and unchanged, visitors to Coverack are content to let time drift peacefully enjoying its relaxed, casual atmosphere and taking in the breathtaking coastal scenery. Lazy days can be spent searching the rock pools for tiny sea creatures, watching wind surfers skimming across the waves and colourful craft chugging into the quaint walled harbour after a day's fishing. Long coastal walks lead off in either direction and when returning hungry after a long trek, there is a good choice of eating places close by. Embracing all the quaintness and charm of its era, great care has been taken to preserve the original character of this charismatic cottage, here the rustic charm of low beamed ceilings and granite stone Inglenook's await. From a cosy snug with wood burning stove into an adjoining sitting room, these traditionally furnished rooms ooze the character of bygone days. An oak fitted kitchen provides all modern day conveniences and guests can dine around a long refectory table. Steep stairs lead up to nicely presented bedrooms, two of which have lovely sea views. Trevarrow's hidden treasure is undoubtedly its garden (a rare find indeed) which is accessed via a flight of stone steps at the rear. Sheltered and peaceful this is a lovely spot for quiet relaxation or for alfresco dining on the raised deck on warm summer days. Roadside parking can be found nearby or in the headland car park.
