Tucked away in 16 acres of award winning landscaped gardens, Penarvon is one of a collection of privately owned holiday cottages in a peaceful south facing wooded valley. An excellent year round holiday destination and superbly suited for families, there are extensive onsite leisure facilities including a splash pool (open from Mar-Dec), children's play area, gym, all weather tennis courts, steam room, Jacuzzi and a cafe/bar. The property offers easy access to the golden sand beach at Maenporth as well as woodland and coastal footpaths for those who love a good long walk with their dog. The beach has shallow water suitable for bathing and water sports (local hire facilities available) and rock pools where children will find entertainment exploring the marine habitat. The award-winning restaurant 'The Cove' sits above the beach whilst for informal dining there is also a beach cafe. Just 5 minutes drive away is the vibrant maritime town of Falmouth, home of the world's second largest natural harbour. The Helford River and Lizard Peninsula are a short drive to the east as well as the 'must-see' beautiful sub-tropical gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. Penarvon occupies one of the most secluded positions on the grounds and provides comfortable family accommodation with modern furnishings. The spacious open plan living room is warm and welcoming with a well equipped modern kitchen to one side and pine dining table for six. Also on the ground floor is a light and airy double bedroom and a cloakroom. On the first floor are a double bedroom and a further bunk room plus the family bathroom. A stable door leads from the living room to a patio equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue. The grounds offer ample space for children to play and for exercising dogs. There is allocated parking for one car.
