The town centre is a ten minute walk, a little more if you follow the scenic route along the mouth of one of the world's largest natural harbour's to enjoy the spectacle of vessels of all sizes which ply the waterways. For those who want a taste of the action, pleasure boat trips operate from the pier to the exclusive waterfront town of St Mawes and along the Helford, stopping at the sub-tropical coastal gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. Galleries, shops, restaurants, old inns and bars line Falmouth's cobbled streets and a visit to The National Maritime Museum is also worth a visit.
