This coastal town has much to offer visitors with a vast array of galleries and craft shops displaying work by prominent local and international artists. There are many delightful cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes together with local shops including a bakery and a delicatessen. The town sits on the shores of the beautiful Mounts Bay with a large sandy beach and delightful rock pools which children will love to explore at low tide. Popular for windsurfing, kite-surfing and sailing, it is an excellent venue for water sport enthusiasts and the prominent Mounts Bay Sailing Club (located in the town) hosts many events through the year. Marazion is perhaps best known as being the gateway to Saint Michael's Mount, the jewel in Cornwall's crown. This amazing island fortress is accessed by a causeway at low tide, once walked by pilgrims and a legend has it a giant! At other times visitors are ferried from the shoreline to the Mount in small boats. For those keen to venture further afield, Penzance; the capital of West Cornwall and gateway to the Isles of Scilly is just 3 miles to the west and a level walk along the coastal foot path. Never short of interest, here you will discover a plethora of shops, restaurants, cafes and a BR station connecting to St Ives and the Tate Gallery and to the cathedral city of Truro where you will be tempted to indulge in some retail therapy. A seaside-chic interior, the high vaulted beamed ceilings add a bright and airy ambience to the spacious open plan living room. There are two attractive double bedrooms which share a modern bathroom.
